prizegiving of the contest no-big; show of the kubarska film
After the DWS contest, and waiting for the screening of the incredible ascent by Eliza Kubarska and David Kaszlikowski, San Vito Climbing Festival comes back to the "dry" realm, with the Open Marathon, a competition for "no-bigs".
Almost two hundreds pairs of climbers disputed the Marathon, enjoying the excellent routes and crags of Salinella, and gave us impressions and smiles - check real-time clips presenting this third day, whose footage will be included in the final movie about SCF 2011 - don't miss it!
In the evening, after a playful interlude amongst table bouldering and slack-lining, the most awaited movie: Eliza Kubarska and David Kaszlikowski, special guests, have presented "What happened on Pam Island?". Alan Formanek from Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival, introduces the movie in the crowded main square, but the wind is strong and the organization decides to dismantle the screen and to pay an homage to "Nuovo Cinema Paradiso" by Tornatore: turning the projector, the images come to life on the white-washed wall of the nearby palace, just above a balcony (unfortunately, nobody came out…)
Finally, the maxi-screen hosted also the pics and the clips of the climbers attending DWS and Open Marathon - and then, straight to El Bahira Camping, for a party with the charming Kaos Percussions Ensemble.
Today, the Top Marathon, reserved to the "bigs".
