ICE - RAPPELLE TOI ..1ST 2012 REPEAT

After having ranked the 2nd place on Dry contest of ICE 2012 at Argentière la Bessée France, Jeff Mercier scored the probable first repeat of the year of the rarely repeated Rappelle toi que tu es un home, a great line of ice with several pitches of mixed on a vertical limestone wall in the Vallée du Couleau.
Mercier, very talented in dry-tooling as well as on ice climbing - has found the mixed section on the first pitch quite dangerous for poor protections (6 bolts + 3 friends added), but has reduced the difficulties grading M5 and saying it's " plus montagne qu'athlétique "that is, more alpinistic that sport climbing that. "The result is pleasant and not too hard (WI5 max), but with many acrobatic move."
250 meters route that had been graded, by the first ascender Christophe Moulin, IV7/M8/6b/A0
The Vallée du Couleau is located south of Briançon and can be reached from the village of St. Clement taking the D638 in the direction of the hamlet of Clots.
