On 2010, February 10, Austrian climbers Markus Pucher (AustriAlpin team ) and Markus Steiner carried out the first ascent of Irgendwie Ander (or: Anyway different), a magnificent and challenging iced line.
The icefall is 120 m long and graded WI 7 X.
The Maltatal is located in Carinthia (Austria), not far from Gmund, and hosts icefalls of any difficulty; Markus Pucher, 33, Mountain Guide, is the Austrian 2010 iceclimbing champion.
