17 Feb 9th club: Spanish level
Alberto Rocasolano, Gonzalo Larrocha and Jonatan Flor animate the 9a club.
Alberto Rocasolano, also known as Betoboulder, put the harness back on for a quick exit in his open relationship with the crag. Even though his playing field is bouldering, where he has climbed blocks up to the grade of 8C+, Alberto ties up every now and then and results are not lacking. Also this time he dedicated himself to an extreme pitch, the last born in grade 9a: La vida en HD. The route was freed by Tom Bolger and is a true masterpiece for climbing small holes.
In the characteristic crag of Terradets, the almost forty-year-old Gonzalo Larrocha has free ascended a super classic of the area and of Spain as a whole. It is Definicion de resistencia democrata, the classic masterpiece released by Dani Andrada. As the first climber himself did, Gonzalo also repeated the pitch without using the kneepad, which facilitates some joints.
Jonathan Flor is now used to the ninth grade and doesn’t even show any more signs of contentment. In Cuenca he climbed Cordia Maleficarum, a pitch bolted by Dani Andrada and freed by Alex Garriga, who had proposed 9a. The holiday in Cuenca is not over yet and Jonatan is already working on other extreme projects.
