30 Mar Punta Giradili (Sardinia)…”Without Delay”
Roberto Vigiani and Carlo Malerba carried out the first ascent of Senza indugio (Without delay) 6c / 6c+ on the beautiful limestone pillar of Punta Giradili, in Sardinia. The line stretches for 400 meters to the right of Angelo Blu (7b, 400m Mabboni brothers, 2002), presents very distanced bolts and requires an equivalent climbing level.
Leading the way on Giradili was Marco Bernardi, one of the strongest climbers of the 80s, (1981 Via del Carasau, VI + / A3), while the first modern route carries the signature of Sardinian Enzo Lecis in 1995 (Wolfgang Gullich 7a , 400m).
In 1996 Maurizio Oviglia, with mountain guides from Piedmont Mario Ogliengo and Patrick Raspo, bolted from below another modern route: Mediterranean 7a +, 300m.
Again Maurizio Oviglia and Simone Sarti in 1998 first ascended Intelligenza Emotiva (7c+, 260m). Patrick Gabarrou drawned a classic route in the right sector of the wall, Voie des Arbres (450m, 1998).
In 2002 Angelo Blu by Mabbon Brothers and Sette Anni di Solitudine (7a, 400m started in 1995) is completed by Michel Piola and Manlio Motto.
Later Piola adds Jonathan Livingstone (350 m, 7a/b), redpointed by Rolando Larcher and Manolo.
Larcher, Maurizio Oviglia and Roberto Vigiani in 2006 carried out Mezzogiorno di fuoco (270m, 7c obl – redpoint by Larcher on 2007 – 8b). In 2009 Roberto Vigiani first ascended with Luisa Siliani Parthenia 6b+ left of the big grotto that marks the wall.
