The legend of bouldering Fred Nicole keeps hgh passion and strong fingers also at 44 years old. His problems are legendary but now he continues to travel and climb hard. Infact, in Rocklands, the strong Fred resolved The Escapist, opened by Nalle Hukkataival and then repeated by Daniel Woods and James Webb (both flash) that graded 8b and not 8b+ like Nalle.
 
"The last few weeks in South Africa have been amazing!" he reports on 8a.nu. "Crazy landscapes, beautiful rocks, nice people, good food and excellent wine. Still so much to see and do! A few days ago I managed to climb "The Escapist" a V14 Nalle Hukkataival put up in 2012. It is a very nice line discovered in 2003 by Bernd Zangerl with sharp, small crimps (at least for my fat fingers)."
