Trento Filmfestival 2016
The international Mountain Film Festival is back in Trento from April 28 to May 828 April 2016
The 64th edition of Trento Film Festival takes place in Trento (Trentino – Alto Adige, IT) from April 28 to May 8. Once again the international mountain film festival presents an extensive programme of films and events dedicated to the mountains, exploration and adventure, with special attention for the relationship between man and nature.
This year the Festival has seen the registration of a very large number of films (more than 470), exceeding last year’s record, with works coming from all over the world, confirming that the Festival represents an important international point of reference for the sector.
As usual, alongside the prestigious selection of films, the Festival will also offer climbing meetings, exhibitions, performances, the international mountain publishing fair “MontagnaLibri” and the “Mountain Trades Park” for families and children. Special attention will be paid to the environment and climate change, to understand how our lives are changing and what commitments we must all make, following the international conference on climate change in Paris.
The Festival opening ceremony takes place on April 26 in Vicenza, in the magnificent Teatro Olimpico. It will be dedicated to Renato Casarotto, one of the most important figures in contemporary mountaineering.
