27 Aug New Route on K7 west Pillar

Italian climbers Elio Orlandi, Fabio Leoni, Rolando Larcher and Michele Cagol reached in July Charakusa valley. in Karakorum, focusing the new ascent of a huge granite pillar stucked between K7 seracs.
The team realized that the line was too dangerous in reason of danger of ice collapse and decided for much protected K7 ‘s west pillar,
The new route was named Children of Hushe (1100 meters 7b a2) and climbed in alpine style.To reach the rock, they ascended a steep snow couloir 500m. 50° 55°.
It is dedicated to the children of Hushe village and to Riccardo Cassin, passed in August.
