DTS Tour – L’Usine

III and last meeting for the Dry Tooling Style Tour 2013 in Voreppe, near to Grenoble (Rhône-Alpes, France). The contest will take place in the big dry-tooling crag L’Usine, a whide overhanging cave of smooth and unclimbable limestone (unsuitable for traditional climbing) with almost 20 routes, one of wich is probably the most difficult in the world fot the moment (D14). There are routes for every climber, from easy to difficult, and in the winter week ends it is not rare to find more than 10 people climbing there – wich is quite unusual for a dry-tooling crag, being dry still an uncommon discipline. The crag has been bolted by Gaëtan Raymond, Etienne Grillot, Jonathan Joly, Jeff Mercier and some other local dry-tooling passionates. See the Gaëtan Raymond blog for a detailed topo of the crag.
