Edurne Pasaban second woman 14×8000

Today at 11.30 Napal time, Spanish climber Edurne Pasaban (Tolosa 1973) summited Shisha Pangma 8027 m, so becoming the second woman – after South koream Oh Eun Sun – to scale all the 8000ers of the planet.
Pasaban started her career in Himalaya on 2001 reaching the top of Everest, (with suplementary O2), then followed Makalu and Cho Oyu on 2002, Lhotse and both Gasherbrum on 2003,  K2 on 2004,  Nanga Parbat on 2005,  Broad Peak on 2007,   Dhaulagiri  Manaslu on 2008, Kangchenjunga on 2009 with O2 during the descent and this year Annapurna and Shisha Pangma.


Pasaban, as Oh Eun Sun,, has performed her ascents with the support of big expeditions and sherpas. Recently she raised doubts about Oh Eun Sun’s  Kangchenjunga ascent. (read more)
With her today,  Spanish Asier Izaguirre, Alex Txicone and Nacho Orviz, and  sherpas. On top today as well Italians  Mario Panzeri, Michele Compagnoni and Alberto Magliano.
For Mario Panzeri, (Lecco Italy 1964, Alpine Guide and member of the Ragni di Lecco group) Shisha Pangma is the 11th 8000er, all climbed without O2 suplementary
