04 Oct El Capitan – Freerider onsight

 
After Bishop, the bouldering paradise in the middle of the desert, Chloé Graftiaux and Cédric Lachat left back for Yosemite Park to attempt to free climb the « Freerider » : an almost 4000 feet high route.
 
After 3 days climbing, the goal is reached for Cédric but not for Chloé who didn’t manage to pass 2 pitches : she was exhausted and the presence of another roped party just up to them prevented her from passing her route.
 
As most French climber, she had to focus a lot for passing the several offwidths and cracks, that’s a pretty different climbing than back home.
 
«…an unusual type of climbing for us.» declared Chloé on her blog.
 
But the Millet climber keeps the smile : She need to get used to this climbing and for a first experience in the Yoz, the results are not bad.
