08 Aug Emilie Pellerin and a 13 years dream

Emilie Pellerin has climbed La Zébrée, in San David, Quebec. 

The route is an historical line discovered in 1972 by Alain Haunault. Originally an A2 line, the first pinkpoint is by Jeff Beaulieu in 2003. 8b+ is not still a world performance in sport climbing, but in trad it is. We have just one possible 9a by Jacopo Larcher and the number of climbers is really little. Moreover, the Emilie’s ascent is really iconic: the route was wet!
