08 May Jernej Kruder climbs a new 9a in Slovenia
Jernej Kruder has climbed Peščena Ura, a pitch which he estimates to be 9a.
Handful of profitable days for the Slovenian champion Jernej Kruder who has climbed some interesting lengths at home. In addition to a dozen pitches over 8a (for him little more than warm-up), Jernej has above all freed Peščena Ura in Sopota, in the central part of the country, which he believes to be a new 9a with which he had an outstanding account.
“I bolted this line years ago and there was no chance I could do the starting crux. That’s why I rebolted the line few years ago and In time was born. Original line was still waiting for FA, until last year I finally unlocked the starting boulder problem. The current situation put me into this home-crag game and I finally realized my dreams. A couple I met today at the crag said, that today energies are right and that I should send my project. That’s exactly what happened.”
