Strong American Jon Cardwell repeated Biographie, 9a+ in Ceuse, after a multi year siege also due to logistics. Awesome success and a monument not only to climbing ability, but also to mental toughness.

The route, also known as Realization, was bolted by visionary Jean Christophe Lafaille back in 1989, and it was only seven years later that Arnaud Petit freed its first part, at 8c+, stopping at an intermediate anchor that he had added. The real challenge was taken by Chris Sharma, that after toil and suffering, falling several seasons at the last move, finally won. The route, at the time, appeared to be the world’s first 9a+. Everything was also filmed in a legendary video.

The intermediate anchor was removed years ago.
