Leggimontagna 2011

The Award comprises four sections, edited and unedited in Italian, dedicated to the mountains:
•FICTION: published works related to mountaineering and the mountains published since March 2009. Particular interest will be paid to works that involve and create enthusiasm in the reader, stimulating him to participate in the mountain world. 
•NON-FICTION: works that deal with the mountains experienced in their most diverse aspects (history, ethnology, anthropic and natural environment, mountaineering background, critical editions on classics)  published since March 2009.
•JOURNALISM: articles regarding mountaineering and the mountains published on paper or online since March 2009. All journalists can submit up to three articles each.
•UNPUBLISHED WORKS: narratives in which the mountains are substantial elements in the story. The maximum length allowed is 40,000 characters, spaces included. Only one story can be entered. 
Leggimontagna audio-visual 2011 will be focussing on the Lienz-Monte Zoncolan leg of the Giro d’Italia. All film makers wishing to take part in the competition can take on the subject mater from any angle (in terms of sport, environment, anthropology, local traditions, etc.) and there is no limit on length (short, medium, full length).
