The Portuguese alpinist Joao Garcia bagged his 13th 8000er by summiting Nanga Parbat without oxygen aid.
 
He plans for spring 2010 to climb Annapurna, last 8000 left to complete his collection

The Italians Giuseppe Pompili and  Adriano del Cin turned back during the final push to the top of Nanga Parbat: Giuseppe reported on his blog that they were too slow to summit in a safe time; they met the Korean lady  Oh about one hour into their descent, when was still going up at that point.
 
The other Korean lady, Go Mi Sun, summited on supplementary O2 according to Giuseppe  and she plans to move to Gasherbrum I and II to climb them during this season.

Gerfried Göschl and his team, climbing a new route on Nanga Parbat , hope to summit tomorrow.
