28 Sep New route 8b+c for Barbara Raudner

 

 
Mid September, Austrain climber Barbara Raudner has opened a new route at Frankenfels (Lower Austria), and this was her first FA.

 
Together with local Hermann Leb (who opened in this area), she discovered, boltet and cleaned the line.
 
Mauerblümchen  requires bouldery power and leads to a very technical finish.
The name means "Wallflower" : "most of the hard routes in the sector have masculin names. Barbara wanted something nice and girlish – photograh Claudia Ziegler reports.
 
Barbara already repeated many hard routes but this line means a lot to her and says that a
first ascent is something special.
 
The Austrian suggests 8b+/c for the grade and adds that this is a proposal.
