The two alpinists climbed a technical route on a virgin peak (6205 meters) in Sichuan.
Their goal was to climb E-Gongga 6618m (Mt. Edgar) SE face, Minya Konka massif , in Sichuan, but in 14 days of mist up to 5500 meters they could not even to see the mountain.
When acclimatizing, thet saw the steep bastion of another wall unnamed yet, and they decided to climb it, also having known that a Korean team had already climbed E-Gongga West ridge in 2001.
