Adam Ondra climbs Erebor, 9b/+.

After a day during the past season and three sessions this year, Adam Ondra signs the third ascent of Erebor, the Ghisolfi’s extreme project. After the FA by Stefano, just one climber has been able to climb it, becoming the first woman beyond the 9b grade: Laura Rogora.

After finding a new beta for the upper crux, Adam suggests the downgrade to 9b and says: “I am aware that I might be criticized for downgrading a route that was recently climbed by a woman. The fact that Laura did Erebor is one of the most impressive feats in climbing ever, but my suggestion is just my honest opinion and not a way to put down her achievement. Not talking about the fact she can definitely climb harder than that.”

After his point of view, we are even more convinced about his purity.
