07 Apr Orobie Alps – Presolana: first winter ascension on the North wall

 
Spring is now coming and temperature becoming milder, but last march Daniele Natali and Maurizio Panseri, strong alpinists from Bergamo, spent a still “arctic” week end on Placido Piantoni route on the north of Presolana wall (Orobie Alps), performing the first winter ascension of the route. The itinerary (400m A1 7a + on a yellow surplombing wall) was completed in 1978 by Livio Piantoni, Rocco Belingheri, Flavio Bettineschi and Guglielmo Boni.
