Julija Kruder climbed Weatherman at Mallorca and could be the hardest DWS route ever climbed by a woman.

It is “only” 8a+ but the ascent by the Slovenian Julija Kruder of Weatherman, on the Spanish island of Mallorca, could be the hardest route climbed by a climber in Deep Water Solo. It would not a surprise if there be a local or a kind of wild card has done even better but in this specialty the female performances are quite rare and therefore this one of Julija deserves attention. Here, about two years ago, brother Jernej did first repeat of Es Pontas of Sharma and always with him recently took part in Psicobloc of Bilbao placing third behind Matilda Söderlund and Sasha Digiulian while his brother has won in the men’s category.
