AlexAnna in Marmolada - FFA - Up-Climbing

AlexAnna in Marmolada – FFA

AlexAnna is a 17 pitches route –  740m – opened in 6 days between 2007 and 2008 by Rolando Larcher with several friends on Pilastro Lindo of Punta Penia – south wall of Marmolada – Dolomites.

On Jul 14th Rolando has completed his job with the FFA of the route  partnered by Tiziano Buccella, suggesting grade 8a+ max 7a+ obl.

AlexAnna is equipped with only 11 bolts (planted without drill) out of 17 pitches. Therefore very different in concept from the nearby Larcher Vigiani 2000, 8a (7b obl.) protected completely with fix, though very spaced.

Don’t miss the magnificent photo-gallery (and report of his experience as a photograph of the ascent)  by the photograph and Alpine Guide Paolo Calzà on livellozero web site.
