Solveig Korherr climbs Cabane au Canada, her first 9a.

Also Solveig Korherr enters in the 9a club. After sending a bunch of 8c and 8c+, the walk has not been long and she says: “I couldn’t have wished for a better route and place to fulfil a long-term dream of mine! I‘m so freaking happy to call La cabane au Canada my first 9a!“.

The project is quite old honestly, because she started to try it one year ago. After four days of attempting back in 2020, Solveig changed the project, there was no way to climb the last boulder. With more experience and her best shape ever, she has come back this year to try it, ancd in just two days she has been able to climb it, with a new beta. During the past attempts, she found really hard to climb the last section after 25 meters of extreme climbing. This year she has always found improvements and to climb it has been really “easy”. The biggest difference is, in her opinion, to have the all clear in mind. During this year she has trained a lot with this purpose in her mind and finally she has conquered her dream!
