B.A.S.E. on Eiger - Up-Climbing

B.A.S.E. on Eiger

Sensational hit reached by the american Dean Potter: in August he climbed untied the very difficult Deep Blue Sea (7b +), on the North Face of the Eiger. Shorts, magnesium and a small backpack containing  the parachute for B.A.S.E. jump: in case of fall, in theory, nothing should happen to the climber that –  light as a dragonfly -after the opening would be deposited at the base of the wall. The mythological dream of Icaro that comes true? In practice,  it is not so simple, many can be the hidden dangers, but however a door  toward a future of amazing realizations…To film the performance was Jim Hurst, to the camera  Beat Kammerlander.
