Toru Nakajima on fire!

The list of his latest results!

Toru Nakajima is another of those Japanese climbers that we have had the opportunity to appreciate over the years for his high level of rock, even though we haven’t heard from him for some time.

After years climbing 8C boulder problems all around the world, Toru pushed himself at the top of the international scene in particular in 2017 with the fourth ascent of the iconic Lucid Dreaming in Bishop (of which you can find the video describing the process on this page) and from time to time he also dedicated to some interesting trad ascents.

Aside from the past, the present tells us that Toru is in better shape than ever and in his latest Instagram post he tells us about his latest results…and downgrades!

Moving from Kyoto to Gifu for a job, he found himself close to a large number of famous areas … and started to conquer boulders and boulders. In addition to a large number of repetitions and first ascents up to 8B+, he has in fact climbed some of the “hottest” lines in Japan in recent times: like Vanitas at Mount Horai, 8C which in his opinion is worth 8B+, as well as others less known like Idea 8B/C (8B+ for him) and White Hawk 8B/C.

But above all, the ascent of Sanctum in Shirakawa is impressive: a line by Dai Koyamada proposed as 8C/+ in 2019 and repeated in November 2020 by Ryohei Kameyama, who confirmed its difficulty.

Nakjima got the third ascent, proposing an 8B+ …

Many other hard lines await him in the surrounding areas, so let’s expect much more!
