Barbara Zangerl climbs Unleashed and Instructor (8c+/9a) and Melissa LeNevé solves Bionic Commando.

The restrictions are loosened and we are finally back to climb at the crag where women are saying more and more. And so then two very strong ones like Barbara Zangerl and Melissa LeNevé close interesting routes in Austria and Germany respectively.

In fact, Barbara scored the climbs of Unleashed and Instructor in the Bregenzerwald, respectively 8c+ and 8c+/9a, the latter bolted by Jürgen Höfle and freed by Jacopo Larcher last year, thus giving signs of excellent shape despite the one-month stop where she focused on training.

Not least was Melissa LeNevé who in Bavaria instead resolved Bionic Commando, length of Christian Bindhammer graded 8c+. The situation in Germany, Melissa acknowledges, is less stringent than in other countries, but assiduous preparation in these weeks has worked very well for her, which she has also led together with Matilda Söderlund.
