Brooke climbs great in Ticino!
An 8B and her fourth 8B+01 February 2022
The American climber leaves Switzerland with the first female ascent of Iur in Cresciano
We knew that Brooke Raboutou would have reserved someother nice surprises during her stay on the Ticino boulders and in fact, after the first female ascent of La Proue and the repetition of King of Sonlerto, here are another couple of beautiful climbs!
As announced two days ago on her Instagram profile, the American sent two lines of undisputed value: the first, Heritage, is an 8B from Val Bavona originally graded 8B+, while the second Iur, 8B +, is one of the extreme lines born in Cresciano in recent years thanks to Giuliano Cameroni. While Heritage already saw Alex Puccio's female ascent, Brooke is instead the first to climb Iur, with which she gains her fourth 8B+, in addition to Muscle Car and Jade in the RMNP, both climbed in 2020, then followed last November from Trieste to Red Rock.
We now know well how strong Raboutou is ... and perhaps the time has come for her to take that further step that would project her to the top of female bouldering!
