The third 8B+ by Brooke Raboutou!
In Red Rocks she sends Trieste07 December 2021
A great climb on the Nevada sandstone ... and the Mellow video that documents it!
As for many other top athletes, Brooke Raboutou's 2021 has been dedicated to the Olympics and for this reason we saw her a little less active on the rock than last year. However, once closed the Tokyo2020 chapter, this strong American climber returned more motivated than ever to real boulders.
One project in particular awaited her, after a first test in January: Trieste at Red Rocks! This 8B + is one of the most known and tried lines by top climbers visiting this famous area near Las Vegas: an overhanging wall requiring power and body control, with a high slab topout! It didn't take long for Raboutou and in just three days of her second trip, spotted and filmed by her brother Shawn, she sent this project, climbing her third 8B+.
In fact, in 2020 she had already reached this difficulty with Muscle Car at Coal Creek and Jade in the RMNP, reconfirming now herself as one of the present and future stars of world climbing.
Above is the Mellow video which summarizes Brooke's process in the realization of Trieste.
