02 Aug Chaehyeon Seo, 14 years old, climbs Bad Girls Club, 8c+ at Rifle

Nice personal success for the Korean Chaehyeon Seo who at Rifle repeated Bad Girls Club, initially graded 9a.

The route is located at Wicked Cave and was bolted by the “local” Joe Kinder in 2010. In 2011 Matty Hong succeeded in the first ascent, followed immediately by the same Kinder who dedicated a huge number of attempts to the route. Both graded 9a but subsequent repeats reduced it to 8c+. Regardless of this, it remains a fine feat for 14-year-old Chaehyeon, who always repeated The Colinator last year, and two years ago, in Red River Gorge, she climbed Omaha Beach, both 8b +.
