
30 Jul IV HOKA Monterosa EST Himalayan Trail
The IV HOKA Monte Rosa EST Himalayan Trail takes place on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 July 2022.
The event takes its name from the east face of Monte Rosa, the highest in the Alps and the only Himalayan type in Europe due to its geomorphology. The wall has a difference in height of 2,600 meters for a total width of almost 4 km and is located in the territory of the municipality of Macugnaga, in the upper Anzasca Valley, in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola (Piedmont, Italy).
THE RACES
Five races are on schedule, all with departure and arrival at the Sports Center in the hamlet of Pecetto di Macugnaga.
- BRUTAL 103K/7.800 D+
- EPIC 60K/4.700 D+
- SKY 38K/3.100 D+
- CHALLENGE 22K/1.700 D+
- ZMAKANA’ 14K/850 D+
Since these are technically demanding races, participants are required to have a specific set of mandatory material and to acquire awareness of the difficulties of the route. Participation awards ITRA points, 5 for the 103K, 3 for the 60K, 2 for the 38K and 1 for the 22K.
