08 Jun Liberty cap goes free

On May 31st, Cedar Wright e Lucho Rivera have made the first free ascent of the southwest face of Liberty Cap, in the Yosemite Valley.
The route opened by Wright and Rivera is Mahtah; it links up three existing artificial routes: Original Southwest Face (5.9 C3), Direct Southwest Face (5.10+ A3+) and Bad Moon Rising (5.8 A2). It includes 16 pitches, and may be as hard as 8a.
