New routes in Mont Blanc Massif

Since many years Tony Penning establish new routes in the forgotten corners on the Italian side of the Mont Blanc Range.

He climbs in clean style, using  quick protections; this year he climbed three new rock routes: with Ali Taylor, Penning inspected the lower North East Face of Mont Noir de Peuterey , at the end of the long East Ridge of the Aiguille Noire, and established Zig Zag (TD 560 m E3 5c).
Unfortunately the quality of the rock is not very good.

Then the duo first climbed  Sorgente Pepper, 200m with several pitches of E3 and E4
In between climbing these two lines, Penning and Taylor established The Aging Gunslinger (560 m, TD, E3 5b) on the South East Face of the Aiguille de l’ Evêque, an interesting route with complex approach on wild terrain.
