18 May Big Up Production new video

 
Big Up Productions just launched a new short film on YouTube called The Insiders, which is all about indoor climbing, and features Paul Robinson, Sasha DiGiulian, Vasya Vorotnikov and Ashima Shiraishi.
Ashima, who is eight years old, was amazing. She had only been leading for a few weeks and had never taken a lead fall when she walked in for the shoot. She flashed her route with ease, and by far the hardest part for her was clipping the draws, because her hands are too small to grab the carabiners in the normal way. It was hilarious to watch her cruise the moves, then struggle with every clip.
 Big Up Productions had to get her a Nano 9.2 mm rope from Sterling because normal ropes are too heavy for her to pull up and clip at the top of a wall…  .
Paul was in full training mode for his upcoming trip to Bishop to try the Rastaman sit start project, which he later climbed, calling it Lucid Dreaming. Big Up Productions  filmed  him setting and working a simulation of the two crux moves on Lucid, and in The Insiders you can see a few quick shots of him trying the moves on the project.
