The history of English climbing and beyond, passes through the steel fingers of Ron Fawcett, one of the most iconic and representative characters of modern climbing.

Born in Embsay in 1955, he became a true reference between the 70s and 80s and his climbs are, still today, an absolute test for many new generation climbers .

One of these is Lord of the Flies, E6 6a on Dinas Cromlech, in north west Wales, a very important climbing development center in the golden years where many routes have been opened, some of them just like Lord, true world references era.
