Blue Ice: Octopus 45L Pack - Up-Climbing

Blue Ice: Octopus 45L Pack

Compact, comfortable and versatile; the Blue Ice Octopus 45L Pack is proposed as the great return of a basic product of the Blue Ice line, revisited in a street key.

Proposed as a versatile backpack, to go to the crag but also for the gym or for travel, at first sight from the idea of a sturdy and compact backpack: excellent tear-resistant fabric with a resistant closure zip, without external buckles that in the journeys could get stuck during the passage from one means of transport to another.
Excellent weight in relation to capacity (900gr 45 liters).

The use has confirmed its compactness, even if it is inserted in the most messy trunk, if you have the foresight to hide the shoulder straps, it never gets stuck, keeping these clean and intact.

The opening on the backrest is wide and allows you to keep the back further clean by opening it to the parking lot to fill it with the last things. The side handle, in addition to the classic top, makes it even more an excellent product for the transfer phase on transport vehicles. During approaches, the back remains protected by the shape of the objects inside, even if the back is not rigid or preformed.

The shoulder straps are excellent, both for the shape and the finishing, the waistband is a bit minimal. In contact with the back there is the pocket for the disappearance of the shoulder straps in ripstop cordura, excellent material to protect them from water, mud and mistreatment of use as a suitcase bag. The shoulder straps are a little lacking in perspiration. On balance this version of the Octopus is a good compromise between a walking backpack and a compact travel backpack.
Compared to the average of the rope holders, even for approaches to the cliffs, it ranks among the most structured.

The pockets are plentiful and capacious: on the outside we find that large summit, in which it is convenient to insert personal effects (also present the lanyard with snap hook to fix them), and the side one, where you can put the shoes or a change that must remain clean .
Inside we find a third pocket against the backrest, and the last one without a hinge and with elastic for a more practical use, where it is still possible to put the shoes for a ready use.
To complete the equipment for transporting technical materials there are two inner rings, against the backrest, to order the quickdraws and better distribute the weight once on the shoulder, and four rings on the top to fix the helmet.

The cloth supplied is not the widest, measuring 1m x 1m, but it is well finished and the two rings at the corners are clearly visible thanks to the different color of the edges.
