Korherr and Rogora on fire!
Nice ascents for Solveig and Laura26 February 2021
Solveig Korherr e Laura Rogora have climbed Turkish Moon and La petite mort, both in 8c-8c+ range.
Solveig Korherr, a really talented German climber, has climbed Turkish Moon, an 8c in Datca, one of the most famous new crag. The Megos’ holiday there has made the Turkey the last one “must have” spot. Solveig has planned a trip to Africa for three months, with a lot of nice ascents. The last one in the list is Turkish Moon, a solid 8c sport route in Can Baba cave. The style is far from common climb in the cave, without the typical kneebars and hooks, it asks some strong fingers for the ascent. Solveig has spent some days here in the first part of the holiday, but then she has changed goal because of the bad weather. With the good conditions of February, the route has fallen in just four attempts.
Our Laura Rogora, really busy in the trainings for Tokyo, took a day off in Pietrasecca, where she climbed La petite mort, a route by Bertrand Lemaire. About the grade, Laura proposes half grade more than La mort, so a soft 8c+ could be appropriate.
