Alberto Ginés, 15 years old, climbs his first 9a
Young Spanish climber resolved Victimes del Futur at Margalef03 April 2018
Great realization for young Alberto Ginés that at just 15 years resolved Victimes del Futur and this projects him in the 9a climbers club.
Alberto started climbing at the age of 6, inheriting his father's passion. At 10 he arrives to solving Sarau Nocturn at Margalef doing in this way hos first 8 route. In 2015 he climbs his first 8b and 8b +, thanks also to the preparation offered by David Macia who becomes his coach and in 2016 also climbs the 8c. He recently did Rollito Sharma Extension and Fabelita in Santa Linya. Arrived in Margalef for the Easter holidays, Ginés started working Victimes del Futur and in just three days he resolved it. Victimes del Futur was tried by many climbers, from Chris Sharma to Iker Pou, from Alex Megos to Tom Bolger and that puts Alberto on par with Mikel Linacisoro as the youngest Spaniards able to climb a 9a (Mikel in 2016 climbed Begi Puntuan at Etxauri).
