Another 8b/8b+ for Italian climber15 January 2018
Giorgia Tesio, climber of Italian team, resolved Hyaena, a must route at Monte Cucco, Finale Ligure, opened in 1985 by Andrea Gallo. This was one of hardest route at that time not only in here important location but also in Italy and represents for her a great return on historical pitch after Noi at Andonno resolved in 2015.
“I have always loved this route, for the line and the style. I tried it first time three years ago at the end of a climbing day but I was really tired and the pitch had seemed to me too hard. After this period and some days in Spain, I tried it again and this time I had all different sensations. In total I spent 7 attempts and don’t think to resolve it so quickly.”
Giorgia won the European Boulder Youth Championship in 2015 and 2016 and in 2017 the Combined, both European and Italian. She won also the Italian Boulder Cup in these last three years.
