At Saint Leger, Hugo Parmentier grabs 9b!

The French athlete among the "very" strong also on rock

20 January 2020
French athlete Hugo Parmentier climbs his first 9b solving Eagle 4 in Saint Leger.

Extraordinary performance for one of French national team that we have learned to appreciate in these years, Hugo Parmentier, who in Saint Leger hit the first repeat of Eagle 4, bolted by Elie Morieux and freed by Adam Ondra in 2018, thus winning the his first 9b.

“I started to work it in September and its movements really hit me, so I decided to make it a long-term project, which certainly would have taken me a long time to solve. I spent ten days in early November, then four more and ten more around Christmas, plus this weekend.

It is certainly the route I am most proud of. It is the first time that I spend so much time on a project and this experience has made me really happy! "
