Mathieu Holtz climbs Bain de Sang

The Swiss climber Mathieu Holtz climbed his second 9a resolving the famous and prestigious Bain de Sang in Saint Loup, Switzerland.
Quality ascent for Mathieu Holtz, 32-year-old climber from Geneva who in the famous Saint Loup spot climbed Bain de Sang, 9a route freed by Fred Nicole in 1993 and first female 9a thanks to the superb Josune Bereziartu who climbed it in 2002.
The first pitch of this grade for Mathieu was actually his own first ascent, Les rats sous-marins, resolved at Bellosset towards the end of August, but with a strong experience on 8c and 8c+. Waiting for this confirmation remains the certainty of Bain de Sang.
