While the comps are going crazy between the European Cup, World Cup, speed, boulder, paraclimbing and so on and so forth, even the crags are populated by climbers and there is certainly no shortage of pitches to be included in the club of 9.
Let's start with the oldest, who after a lifetime of competing is finding a second youth on the rock, freeing pitches that earn at least half a degree when they are then repeated. We are obviously talking about Ramon Julian Puigblanque, the Spanish super star who has won any type of competition where he climbs with the rope. At Collsuspina he freed a really interesting new pitch: Dinamita d'esclafit pa los pollos. From the video published it looks like a real test piece on finger strength, it will surely become a great classic 9a!
Let's now pass to the "novice" of the club: Ana Belen Argudo. The young Spaniard fresh off her first 9a has managed to climb another very famous pitch in Cuenca. It is a historical 8c+/9a, its name is El Intento, a true classic of this area! Ana's idea is to climb hard routes as much as possible, with the hope of inspiring other young people to follow the path of sport and outdoor climbing.
Last but not least, we move to Rawyl, where young champion Dylan Chuat repeated a creation by Mr Adam Ondra. We are talking about the Super Finale, a pitch that the Czech rated 9a. 40 meters long, this line is extreme and treacherous, in fact it presents the crux right at the top, after a ride of more than thirty meters. For Dylan, three sessions were enough to be able to climb his project. In the same crag he also climbed Le voile de Maya, 8b/c.
