Young gun Théo
Blass, an 8c teenager
13 January 2021Great confirm for Théo Blass, who climbs his second 8c!
We talked about him in June, when he climbed his first 8c ( Souvenirs du pic a Saint Guilhem le Desert) and now we come back to France, because he did it again! This time the route is Guère d'usure, a line in Claret graded 8c. As every child, climbing ih for Théo something about having fun, so all is about “to play”. There are periods when Théo in psyched about climbing, period when he plays in the garden, periods for MTB or skiing. The most exciting aspect about the young Blass is how is quick in gaining grades. He is passed from his first 6b+ in toprope to his first 8b in just one year and half! The line in Claret has been climbed thanks to a period of training on their home wall during the first lockdown. Anyway, in Vladimir Blass opinion, climbing has to be about having fun:fear, frustration and failure are part of the game, but having fun is the most important thing.
