Siegrist on Goldrake!
Iconic 9a+ in Cornalba15 November 2021
Jonathan Siegrist has climbed Goldrake, 9a+.
Thi ascent goes directly in the series called “routes and Routes". Jonathan Siegrist well knows this kind of different routes and for his Italian trip has decided to try just beautiful gems. After climbing in Andonno, where he has also sent Mistero confirming the 8c+/9a grade proposed by Giorgio Tomatis, he has visited San Rocchino and then Cornalba.
The main purpose of the American talent was a very iconic route: Goldrake. For the whole length there are no good holds. After two 9bs this year, Goldrake is one of the hardest routes sent by Jonathan; for climbing it Siegrist spent four sessions.
Before him just a bunch of climbers have sent the route, almost all are italians: Ondra (FA 2010), Moroni, Ghisolfi, Carnati, Bana and Castellano. After years, the masterpiece by Bruno Tassi is still something really inspiring for generations of climbers.
