Stevie Haston repeats Greenspit

The Europe's roof-crack most difficult?

04 December 2009   The 2009 seems to be a very good year for Stevie Haston, as he recently succeeded  in Descent en Enfer 8c+ and Descente Lolitta 9a   at the Grotte de Sabart in Ariège, and in UK several trad’s highly demanding routes as Bam, Bam E8 6b, Dream Canyon Handshake E7 6b, 6a, Nightstalker E9 and  Requiem for a Vampire E8 6b.   Last week he climbed Greenspit 8b+ in Valle dell’Orco – Italy, a 12 meters roof bolted during the 90’s.   The bolts of Greenspit were later removed and the Swiss climber Didier Berthod did the first  free ascent ,  on 2003 pre- placing protections and on 2005 self protecting.   Greenspit was repeated on 2008 by Nico Favresse and on 2009 by Tom Randall .   Source: ukclimbing   ms
