UIAA Ice Climbing World Cup – Durango

First World Cup stage in Colorado

The first stage of the UIAA Ice Climbing World Cup 2016/2017 takes place from December 14 to 17 in Durango, Colorado.

Over 70 of the world’s best adult and youth competitive ice/mixed climbers will battle it out at The Rock Lounge and SKA Brewery in Durango, CO from December 14-17. This event is free to spectators.
Competitions include: Male & Female Speed Climbing World Cup & Lead Difficulty World Cup Elite, Junior (U22), Youth (U19 & U16) categories.
This is the only internationally sanctioned UIAA Ice Climbing World Cup to be held in North America for the 2016-2017 season. In addition to the World Cup, Durango is hosting The North American Ice Climbing Championships during this event.
Provisional schedule:

  • Wednesday, December 14 & Thursday, December 15: Youth Rounds
  • Friday, December 16 & Saturday, December 17: UIAA World Cup Rounds
