Austrian climber Hansjörg Auer has completed on 30 June, the first repeat of Pan Aroma, the extreme route rated 8c opened by German Alex Huber in the summer of 2007 on the north wall of Lavaredo Westichle Zinne.
With Auer, the strong bouldering champion (and his compatriot) Barbara Zangerl, for the first time on an alpine wall.
Pan Aroma follows the first five pitches of Bellavista, another test-piece of Huber on the same wall, and then turns to the right, pass an impressive roof and finally comes out on top into the classic Cassin route.
Hansjörg worked on the route for 3 days in two weeks. Auer has a curriculum of great achievements including the formidable repeat in free solo (2007) of the "Fish" on the south wall of the Marmolada (900m - 7b +) .
