Dolomiti: Opus Pocus first free ascent in Marmolada (Dolomites)

08 August 2009 In 2008 Geremia Vergoni from Perugia and Tiziano Buccella from Trento (Italy) first ascended on the south wall of Piz Serauta a modern route 200 metrs long 8a (7b/7b+ obl.). The line runs left of hystorical Pisoni Castiglioni climbed in 1942. On July 23 the duo was back to their own creation and Geremia redpointed it Geremia Vergoni is a talented climber on rock as well than ice, level 8b on sport climbing and several first ascents. ms
