Hervé Barmasse and David Göttler on the Shisha Pangma

The two mountaineers had stopped few meters before the summit

Hervé Barmasse and David Göttler have climbed the Shisha Pangma stopping few meters before the peak.

The original idea was to opena a new route on the south face of the Shisha Pangma, Himalayan peak 8.027 meters high, but because of the bad wheater they had to gave up from the original goal.

So, may the 20 th Hervé and David took advantage of the good wheather window for climb the mountain from an opened yet route. They climbed in alpine stile (whitout sherpa and oxigen) and really fast. In obly 13 hours they reached the high of 8024 meters, stopping themselvef few meters before the summit. Anyway, it's a really satisfyng accomplishment for the two mountaineering. We'll wait for more information on the climb.
