The two, part of a group of six people, were experts freeski athletes. The other four members of the team are fortunately unharmed. In Spain, two climbers, 48 and 35 years old, have lost their lives for reasons yet to be clarified on the pico Almanzor and the Picos de Europa. The first, not being returned to the hostel Elola to celebrate the New Year, has been researched by a rescue team and found the next day, thanks to the use of the helicopter, in the bottom of a canal in a rather dangerous area, where there had been other incidents in the past. The youngest climber however, was the victim of a fall of 100 meters and recovered alive by rescuers but unfortunately died during transport to hospital. Condolences to family and friends. Source
