A new route with Ian Parnell and important repetitions
26 February 2010
Excellent results for the strong German climber Ines Papert during a visit in Scotland in february 2010. She has done Unicorn at Stob Coire nan Lochan in Glen Coe, scottish grade VIII 8. This is possibly the hardest ever lead of a Scottish winter route by a woman.
Together with Ian Parnell she has done the FA at Far East Gully Beinn Eighe of Little Nipper 60m VI 8, and repeated Blood Sweat and Frozen Tears VIII,8 on Beinn Eighe, North East Buttress IV,5 on Ben Nevis and Stirling Bridge VI 7 at Aonach Mor.

This year at Ouray Ice festival Ines Papert was near to win the overall competition as she did on 2005, but the ice ripped unexpectedly: she won the women’s event, and anyway placed 3rd overall.
